One day, Gustav hears a rumor that he will be replaced by another butler; the anxiety and uncertainty grow so strong within him that one night he decides to escape.

synopsis

“An Impossible Word of Praise” is an experimental short film that seeks to explore the darkest corners of the human being in relation to the system in which we currently live: wild capitalism. I’m interested in examining the human psyche in these times of frantic production and consumption, as well as offering a pessimistic and paradoxical point of view on how our relationships function today—where convenience, future benefit, and even, at times, self-humiliation seem to be central when it comes to connecting with one another.
